Chris is a semi-retired Public Accountant, having commenced some 48 years ago. He became involved in offroad racing in 2017 after 35 years of racing motor bikes and Quads. ‘With age comes cage’, as they say. In Chris’ own words:
“I began with buying a Yamaha YXZ and building it to race specifications. Now onto a Class 1 buggy. In 2019 and 2022, Tanya (my Partner) and I, won the ARB Class 66 Championship, very much to our excitement. Attending these championships was such a great experience and gained many more good friends within the offroad community.
The people involved in offroad racing really put the icing on the cake in offroad racing. I have joined the board of AORRA as I feel it is a sport that I want to stay involved in after I can’t physically race. Be able to put time and effort into assisting in running the sanctioning body and officiate at various race meetings.
I enjoy my fishing when not working on buggies or race transporter. Then sitting back, having a beer and enjoy looking out my back yard, the Pacific Ocean.”
