Ivan has been racing off road since 1983. His first vehicle was an EJ Holden ute, then in 1984 built a HQ Holden ute which is still racing somewhere. His next vehicle was 1974 Toyota Corona just to be different, naturally it was turbo charge intercooled, then came an ex Andrew Stott safari patrol. Ivan then had ten years away from the sport whilst raising 4 children and racing quad bikes. He is the property owner of Keera Station located 50kms out of Mildura, home to the ARB Sunraysia 400.
In 2012 Ivan finally got back to the offroad sport that he loves and is passionate about, purchasing the first Mickle Fab ID Designs Trophy Truck. He is currently racing in the 471 Mickle Fab Raptor TT Trophy Truck.
In 2016 Ivan was interested with the direction our sport was taking. He began talks with Bruce Robertson (no relation) from AASA in how we could better manage the sport and with discussions with other off-road family competitors, this was the beginning of AORRA.
Ivan is committed to his role as Chairman and looks forward to being able to help with the growth and development of Off-Road Racing, enabling an open and transparent sport for all involved.
