Millicent Sand Buggy Club have been busy doing preparations for the 2024 Robe Earthmovers David Larter Day-Night Enduro on Saturday the 3rd August. Located at the home of Buggy Park in the South East of SA, nestled between the Southern Ocean and Lake George.
The club grounds and race track are ready to welcome competitors and spectators to this year’s event. The event will be completed over a two-heat format beginning in the late afternoon and continuing into the night. The race provides competitors with a great variety of racing conditions from the sand hills to the clay pans and winding tracks, all are sure to provide a great race for competitors.
There is a field of eighteen cars in the line-up for this year’s event which will provide for some tight and exciting racing, with local Todd Lehmann #85 out to bring home a win after a recent podium finish at Waikerie. Glenn Pike #75 will be another one to watch after taking home the win at Mumbannar, along David Hall #134 who was also on the podium at Mumbannar earlier in the racing season.
Class 10 has a large field of 6 cars in the event including Millicent Sand Biggy Club members Jake Douglass #1041, Peter Tamblyn #1042, Chevy Croker #1045 and Aaron Heemskerk #1029. With David Richardson #1013 and Brodie Day #1011 also joining them to provide a great event of tight racing amongst class 10.
Courtney Watson #285 had a great run earlier in the year at Mumbannar and will be one to watch in class 2 as she zooms through the dunes. Throw in a host of other talented drivers and the action for the Robe Earthmovers Day Nighter is going to be one not to miss. Action kicks off at 2.00pm local time, there is great viewing for spectators come along and see some great head to head racing.
