Patterson’s Dream a Rainbow Reality

Since arriving onto the scene as a youngster behind the wheel of an imported Class 5 American Ford Ranger at Moorex in 2018, Jourdain Patterson #44 has dreamt of competing against Australia’s best.

This weekend the 24 year old third generation earthmover from Heywood, Victoria will realise a dream, tackling a star studded field at the STEEL-IT ARB Big Desert 480 in his newly acquired V8 Chev powered 2014 Razorback.

“We plan on chasing the ARB championship this year, whilst maintaining reliability in the car, getting good seat time with navigator Perry Compton, learning from the quality around me and being grateful of my crew and family are our major goals for 2024,” said a proud Patterson.

In a career highlighted by navigating for his brother Joseph in his Class 1 Fusion at last years Tatts Finke Desert Race where the two broke on the Finke start line before finishing, Patterson is eager to leave a mark in his national debut at Rainbow.

Patterson would like to acknowledge his sponsors Farmers Field Service Pty Ltd (FFS), Impact Fertilisers, Dean Williams Engineering, Gray’s Mechanical Services, and Peak Performance Sport Science for their ongoing support, whilst thanking his AWESOME team at Patterson Motorsport including the people who started it all – Mum and Dad for all that they do.

After debuting his Razorback at the Burrungule 160 last October, Patterson’s vision for 2024 is to have a safe, fast and reliable season and to cement the Patterson name, and team on the ARB Off Road Racing scene.

The STEEL-IT ARB Big Desert 480 kicks off the 2024 ARB Off Road Racing Championship this weekend, the 23rd and 24th of March.
