46 cars. 280 kilometres. A championship fight that is about to get very interesting.
The Truck Factory Bob Shegog Memorial Wynarka Enduro is ON, and it’s shaping up to be one of the most exciting Wynarka Enduros yet.
With 46 cars on the grid, the penultimate round of the 2026 Southern States Off-Road Club Challenge is set to deliver a huge weekend of South Australian off-road racing. And while 46 cars is impressive enough, there’s an even bigger storyline sitting behind the entry list.
The championship leaders are coming to Wynarka.

With just Wynarka and the final round at Burrungule 180 remaining, every point from here is becoming increasingly valuable. At the top of the championship standings, Tim Wilkinson #621 leads the way on 2372 points, but there is absolutely no room for complacency. Sitting just 70.55 points behind is Daryl Nissen #164, while Evan Lampard #184 is another 85.45 points further back. That means the top three are separated by less than 160 points heading into the penultimate round.
And all three will be at Wynarka. Wilkinson. Nissen. Lampard. Three championship contenders, one weekend of racing and a whole lot of kilometres between them and the final round.
Aiden Campagnolo #666, currently fourth on 2044 points, has a significant gap to the top three, but with plenty of points available across the remaining rounds, he remains one of the names worth watching.

Behind him, the battle gets even tighter. Shaun Klingberg #258, Heath Weedon #779, Glenn Pike #75, Jason Marks #422 and Chloe Swatton #668 are all sitting within striking distance of each other. Just 124 points separate fifth through ninth. That’s a championship battle that could change very quickly.
Away from the championship calculations, the Wynarka entry list is stacked. There are established names, experienced crews, family combinations, newcomers and plenty of competitors who will be looking to make their own mark.
Mel Brandle #77 brings proven Wynarka form, while names including Hamish Lochert #127, Lauren Andrews #137, Smokey Burrows #181, Izaak van der Woude #554, Darren Frankling #678, Heath Weedon #779, Jason Pye #851, Jason Keane #1013 and Josh Gaskin #1075 add plenty of depth to the field.

The organisers are calling it the best spectator track in SA and when you look at the numbers, it’s not hard to see why. Cars will pass spectator areas somewhere between two and four times per lap, depending on where you stand. With a 20-kilometre course and 14 laps across the weekend, that means a single car could pass a spectator area up to 56 times.
With 46 cars entered… That’s potentially 2,576 race car passes. Two thousand, five hundred and seventy-six. That’s a LOT of race cars.
So if you’re looking for a motorsport weekend where you actually get to see the cars rather than spending half the day waiting for them to come back around, Wynarka might be the place to be.

The Little Cafe will be keeping everyone fed across the weekend with hamburgers, hot chips, toasted sandwiches, egg and bacon sandwiches, cakes, coffee and soft drinks. The club’s event programs are ready to go, the campsite and pits have been mowed and prepared, the field is ready.
Adding even more spice to the weekend, the Class 10 Stampede will run concurrently with The Truck Factory / Bob Shegog Memorial Wynarka Enduro, with $3,000 in cash up for grabs across the top five finishers. The Stampede is open to competitors running vehicles compliant with AASA Class 10 regulations, with eligible crews required to complete all 14 laps across Saturday and Sunday to qualify for the prize money. The winner will take home $1,500, followed by $750 for second, $300 for third, $250 for fourth and $200 for fifth, which gives Class 10 competitors another serious incentive to keep pushing all weekend.
46 cars. 280 kilometres. 14 laps. 2,576 potential car passes. One penultimate championship round.
