Clayton Chapman #15 has closed out his remarkable 2026 season by conquering the weekend’s McIntyre Agriculture Dam Buster 160 at St George, while David Loughnan #104 claimed his maiden ARB Mickey Thompson Queensland Off Road Racing Championship.
Chapman and navigator Jasper Harvey delivered a faultless performance in dusty conditions across the seven-section, 140-kilometre short-course event, setting the fastest time on every lap to take the win by more than 54 seconds over Troy Duff #24.
The result capped off an outstanding week for Chapman following his third-place finish at the Pines Enduro in South Australia the previous weekend, where he and Adam McGuire secured the 2026 ARB Australian Off Road Racing Championship.

Duff and navigator Alex King #24 produced a strong performance in the team’s V8 Alumicraft for their first finish in six years to secure second outright, with Class 4 champions Brett Comiskey and Corey Cooper #434 rounding out the outright podium in third, a further 3.19 minutes behind.
Tony Fehlhaber and Dylan Goodsir #138 were other big winners from St George, finishing fourth outright and taking Class 1 honours ahead of Jay and John Mitchell #121 who crossed the line in fifth, with the pair separated by just 25 seconds.
Steven Orr #1015 recorded a strong result of his own, securing sixth outright and Class 10 honours, while Craig Krog and Richard Tassin #23 battled through early mechanical dramas to finish seventh outright and third in the Ultimate Class.
Luke and Robyn Brandon #613 put an exclamation mark on their superb season with a come from behind Class 6 victory, the Polaris Charger finished 33 seconds ahead of class runners up Nick Pye and Grant Townes #629 in eighth and ninth outright respectively.
Class 10 runners-up Brett and McKinley Baker #1026 rounded out the Dam Buster top ten in their Razorback, crossing just 14 seconds ahead of fellow Class 10 podium finisher Jason Keane #1013 in third.

David Loughnan and Rhi Pryde #104 brought their Class 1 Honey Badger home in 14th outright and third in class, a result that locked up the 2026 ARB Mickey Thompson Tires Queensland Off Road Racing Championship.
Loughnan entered the St George finale with a significant points advantage, and despite a dramatic final lap that saw him cross the finish line on three wheels, he held on to claim Queensland’s highest crown and cap off a tremendous season.
In other results, DRELLs Run Racing’s Darren Brandon #689s, overcome Anna Phillis #624s, and Lara Brandon #690s for the Class 6s silverware, while defending Dam Buster champions Lochlan and Jordon Waters #699 settled for third in Class 6.
Local legend Hank Parker and Mal Mcdonald #701 stormed to another Class 7 triumph at St George, whilst Jayme and Ross Challacombe #838 in their Class 8 Triton, and Peter Makeham #1122 also collected class wins.
Paul and Mark-Paul Grant #504 wrapped up their maiden Dam Buster campaign in style, powering their Ford F150 Oz-Truck to the Class 5 victory, while Tony Butler #544 and Rob Chapman #571 rounded out the podium.

Killa Racing’s Steven Kildey and Tamara Briggs #484 charged home for second in Class 4, while Mark Robertson and Jamie Knight #439 combined alongside navigators Dan Tollis and Noah Spink on Sunday to secure third after Knight’s unfortunate incident on Saturday.
Making her first race start after graduating from the Future Champions Class, Hollie Gardiner and father Matt #623 secured the Juniors title, while fellow debutant Ethan Foxcroft and father Eric #6680 in their Class 66 Yamaha finished runner-up.
In the Ladies Class, Anna Phillis #624 was faultless all weekend to claim the title, while DRELLs Run Racing’s Lara Brandon #690 and Sophie Schneider, alongside father Michael #664, secured the remaining silverware.
Despite being the only Future Champions competitor at St George, 12-year-old Jack Musico #6688 showcased his talent alongside father and navigator Ben, winning the class silverware for the third time this season.
Hosted by SEQORRA and supported by Total Mine Solutions and Quick Core and Sawing, the Dam Buster 160 attracted a strong field of 58 entries for the final round of the 2026 ARB Mickey Thompson Tires Queensland Off Road Racing Championship.
The AORRA Queensland Championship again acknowledges the ongoing support of its naming rights partners, ARB 4×4 Accessories and Mickey Thompson Tyres, along with Link ECU, JSW Powersports, Best Western Plus Hotel North Lakes, Farm and Garden Polaris, Comiskey Mining Services, and Premium Soil Conditioners & Fertilisers.
The ARB Mickey Thompson Queensland Off Road Racing Championship will now turn its attention to the 2027 season, with the calendar to be released in the coming weeks.
