The 2026 Weedon Pastoral Co. Burrungule 180 has brought the Burson Auto Parts Southern States Off Road Club Challenge to a close, with competitors celebrating event victories, championship honours and a season of racing.

Glenn and Blake Pike #75 took home the outright victory at Burrungule, finishing just 40 seconds ahead of last year’s event winner, Brendan Payne and David Munn #99. With a longer track and wet sections adding to the challenge, the narrow margin made the win even sweeter. Griffith Club President Dean Meginley and Lincoln Westerland #87 rounded out the outright podium in their Jimco Ultimate Buggy.

Jason Marks and Andrew Forbes #422 finished fourth outright and claimed the Class 4 event win, while Simon Evans and Sarah Harriss #636 completed the top five and took first in Class 6.

Daryl Nissen #164 secured second, with Tim Wilkinson taking third outright alongside the Class 6 championship win.

In the Ultimate Class championship standings, Dale Standen and Dean Westerland #92 claimed second, followed by Kevin and Callum Marsden #11 in third.

Class 2 competitors had extra rewards on offer at Burrungule thanks to the Black Bear Tyres Class 2 Cup. Jake and Hannah Stevenson #246 of Havachat Off Road Racing celebrated their first finish, securing second in class and a $2,000 voucher, while junior competitors Liam and Jye Williams #286 claimed third and a $1,000 voucher. All three prizes were generously donated by Black Bear Tyres Australia. Ryan Oldfield #223 also wrapped up his championship campaign with second in Class 2 for the Club Challenge.
