After a hugely successful 2020 season, Queensland is set to lead the way once again in Off Road Racing events for 2021.
Announced over the weekend the 2021 Mickey Thompson ARB Queensland Off Road Racing Championship will comprise of a total of 8 rounds – 3 long course events and 5 short course events. Kicking off 2021 will be a new venue at Leyburn west of Brisbane. Leyburn is famous for an annual tarmac sprint event and bringing Off Road to the area will boost the local economy even further.
The remainder of the season is made up of events that all Queenslander know well including the Goondiwindi 400 and the Don River Dash. Here’s the list:
- March 6–7 Leyburn SC
- May 1–2 Burdekin LC
- May 22–23 Dalby SC
- June 19–20 Gladstone SC
- July 17–18 Moranbah SC
- August 14–15 Gundy LC
- September 11–12 Don River LC
- October 23–24 LCMP SC
- November 27–28 Presentation Dinner
For 2021 ARB have joined Mickey Thompson Tires as co-naming rights sponsor, making this championship the most lucrative for prizes out of any in Queensland, possibly Australia.
