Clayton Chapman and Adam McGuire #15 have once again conquered Goondiwindi, storming to their third consecutive ARB Gundy 500 crown in a clinical front-running display at Round 3 of the 2026 ARB Australian Off Road Racing Championship.
Chapman and McGuire were in a class of their own on Sunday in the team’s 2JZ powered Razorback, crossing the line a remarkable 9 minutes and 51 seconds clear of the field to cement their place in Gundy history as three-time champions.

“What a weekend hey. The tied prologue yesterday, controversy, rough battles, dust everywhere, but we just pushed hard all day, and the car ran flawless. An amazing weekend for the team,” said an emotional Chapman post-race.
Following the unfortunate abandonment of Saturday’s Section 1 after an on-track incident, and the early retirements of Beau Robinson #813 and Josh Howells #9 on Sunday, along with third-lap dramas for Jason Richards #91, Chapman was left with a clear run to claim his sixth ARB Australian round victory in four years.

Finishing behind Chapman, Black Betty Offroad Racing’s Craig Krog and Richard Tassin #23 delivered a breakthrough performance of their own at Goondiwindi, securing their maiden national podium with a hard-fought second outright in the team’s V8 powered Razorback.
The battle for third was equally fierce, with Class 10 victors Bowie and Ella Graham #1065 producing arguably their finest performance to date to secure the final spot on the outright podium. The father-and-daughter duo charged from 14th on the grid to finish behind Krog, adding another ARB Australian podium to the impressive result they achieved at Rainbow last year.

It was a heartbreaking near-miss for Jimco peddler Tom Swinglehurst and Millie Van Der Woude #48, who battled their way to fourth outright, narrowly missing the podium celebrations by just 8.6 seconds after sitting third entering the final lap.
Club President Jamie Knight and Patrick Buggie #439 rounded out the top five outright and comfortably secured Class 4 honours after another consistent run through the demanding Gundy terrain, backing up their home-soil victory earlier in the season.

Tony Fehlaber and Dylan Goodsir #138 claimed another Gundy Class 1 win, finishing sixth outright to continue their impressive 2026 campaign, which already includes an outright win at Miles.
Ally Howells and Sarah Corrigan #115 secured second in Class 1, finishing 10th outright on their Gundy debut, while David Loughnan and Darren Barker #104 completed the class podium.

Lachlan and Greg Campbell #3 made it a remarkable five Class 6 titles from their last six ARB Australian Championship outings, edging to victory at Gundy by just three seconds in a nail-biting finish.
Queensland newcomers Nick Pye and Rhi Pryde #629 fell just short of their first ever national class round win in eighth outright, with Matt Webster and Jack Nevins #688 completing the hotly contested Class 6 podium.
South Australian Bodie Tickner #1093 kept his ARB Australian outright championship hopes alive with a ninth-place finish, the Class 10 runner-up crossed ahead of fellow single-seater competitor Jason Keane #1013 in third.

Stuart and James Zlotkowski #811 piloted their famous Gold Brumby to top spot in Class 8, ahead of locals Steven and Debra Ash #862, with Western Australian Beau Robinson and Shane Hutt #813 rounding out the podium after an early retirement.
Other class champions from the ARB Gundy 500 included Peter Makeham and Daniel Brooks #1122 in Class 11; Hank Parker and Matthew Lawless #798 who secured another class victory in their Silver Bullet, plus Class 5 victors Michael Ranson and Blake Rogers #507.
Leigh Ryan and Nathan Wills #481 capped off their first Gundy campaign with a second-place finish in Class 4, with Brett Comiskey and Corey Cooper #434 claiming third, while Jamie O’Toole and Deanne Richards #1168 claimed their own silverware in Class 11.

The challenging Gundy layout claimed plenty of competitors throughout the event, with Beau Robinson #813, Josh Howells #9, Lochie Waters #699, Jay Mitchell #121, Jeff McNiven #604, Aaron Haby #1, Josh Wiedman #669, Brett Comiskey #434, Conroy Devine #608, and Luke Brandon #613 among those unable to make it to the finish.
