Proudly hosted by the Burdekin Offroaders Inc, the forty plus strong field is again headlined by two of North Queensland’s favourite sons, Talbot Cox #16 and Michael Marson #1032.
Both Cox who is chasing a hat trick of Burdekin titles and Marson in his Class 10 Racer are making their first appearances of 2025. Deservedly, Cox will carry the favourites tag into the weekend, however, is expected to face plenty of competition.

The challenge will be spearheaded by recent Dalby champion Lachlan Waters #699, two-time Moranbah victor Dan Dunn #614, last year’s podium sitter Drew Callander #32 having his first run in the ex-Marson Racer and his son Trent #99 in the team’s Razorback, all searching for a maiden Burdekin triumph.
Others to watch include Black Betty Racing’s Craig Krog #23, North Queenslander James Sant #50, Class 1 crusader Tony Fehlhaber #138, Steven Kildey #412 in his Killa Trophy Truck, local Class 6 charger Brent Storey #682, and Class 10 Jimco peddler Steven Orr #1051.

Close battles are again expected across all classes with Matthew Lawless #71, Aaron Phillis #40, David Loughnan #104, Chris Colborne #169, Shane Dale #251, Dave Muir #433, Aaron Nicoll #665, Jason Sait #674, Stephen Blake #6639, Leila Chapman #616s, Joshua Pile #762, and Brett Baker #1026 amongst the crews.
The Queensland Off Road Racing Championship would like to thank their major sponsors ARB and Mickey Thompson Tyres, along with championship sponsors, Link ECU, Comiskey Mining Services, JSW Powersports, Best Western Plus Hotel North Lakes, Farm and Garden Polaris and Premium Soil Conditioners & Fertilisers for their support in 2025.

With another strong field of cars ready to hit the Ayr Rifle Range, there are plenty of crew’s looking to become the next Burdekin champion. With full camping available, and racing to commence from 7.45am Saturday and 8am Sunday morning; it is set to be another great weekend in North Queensland.
