Moranbah has attracted some quality fields over the event’s short history, and this weekend’s 2025 Moranbah Short Course hosted by the Mackay Off Road Racing club is no exception – with a stellar line up locked and loaded.
With 37 crews set for the popular annual Moranbah event which features a technical 12km layout, all eyes will be on past and future champions at Round 5 of the ARB Mickey Thompson Queensland Off Road Championship.
Headlined by two-defending champion Dan Dunn #614 who is chasing a Moranbah three-peat in his Class 6 Can Am, 2022 victor Kye Camilleri #34 in his Rednut Racing Jimco, multiple time Don River champion Talbot Cox #16 and last year’s runner up Drew Callander #32, it promises to be another fierce battle in the north.
In another major boost for the event, the top three in the Queensland title fight have all entered Moranbah, including championship leader Aaron Nicoll #665, Tony Fehlhaber #138, and David Loughnan #104, who are all genuine outright contenders.
Others to keep an eye on include Mackay young gun Trent Callander #99 in the team’s V8 Razorback, former podium sitter and Polaris campaigner Luke Brandon #613, along with Class 10 competitors Brett Baker #1026, and Andrew Murphy #1031.
All classes are set to be hotly contested once again, with Kelvyn Kruger #44, Tom Darlington #63, Darren Angel #160, Ben Power #1060, Brayden Mifsud #626, Darren Brandon #689s, Anna Phillis #624s, Colin Gaven #295, Joshua Pile #762, Katelyn Long #6626, and Jack Musico #6688 set for action.
