Zac Marsh and David Ash #6140 have closed out their 2025 season in superb fashion at the weekend’s Farm and Garden Products Mount Larcom Short Course, the eighth and final round of the ARB Mickey Thompson Queensland Offroad Championship.
In dusty conditions, Marsh capitalised on his overnight advantage in the team’s Class 6 Can Am Maverick R to record his second Mount Larcom victory in three years, and a second win of 2025, after also winning at Esk in July.

Defending Mount Larcom champion Christian Trusz #816 was another to continue his exceptional run of form, crossing 51 seconds adrift of Marsh in his Class 8 Patrol, with 2022 QLD champion Brice Derrick #696 wrapping up the outright podium in his Can Am, 30 seconds off the pace of Trusz.
Tony Fehlhaber and Dylan Goodsir #138 were the other big winners from Mount Larcom, with the Class 1 stalwart claiming a maiden Queensland Offroad Racing Championship courtesy of his determined fourth place finish in Central Queensland.
Highlighted by a second-place finish at Dalby to start the season, and an eighth outright result at the 2025 Don River Dash, Fehlhaber was a deserving and popular recipient of Queensland’s highest offroad honour.

Despite missing the penultimate round at Bowen in September, early championship leader and Class 6 QLD champion Aaron Nicoll #665 locked down second in the title race, wrapping up his year with an 8th place finish.
Ultimate titlist Aaron Phillis #40 was another to finish his season in style, rounding out the QLD outright podium and Mount Larcom top five in the team’s V8 Brenthel, finishing the finale just 14 seconds behind Fehlhaber.

Jason Keane #1013 completed the ten laps of Mount Larcom with Class 10 honours in sixth outright, finishing 13 seconds ahead of Polaris charger and Class 6 podium sitter Luke Brandon #613 in seventh.
Steven Kildey #484 closed out his Class 4 QLD championship winning year with a third victory of the season crossing in ninth, with the ever-consistent David Loughnan #104 just three seconds behind in tenth.

In one of the closest class battles of the weekend, Lara Brandon #690s held off eventual QLD Class 6s and Ladies champion Anna Phillis #624s by 34 seconds, with Darren Brandon #689s taking home third.
In other results, Colin Gaven #295, Ross Newman #6681, and Lincoln Staude #726, all claimed class wins, John Brand #124 finished third in Class 1, with Tom Darlington #63 and Mitch Upton #999 rounding out the Ultimate dais.
Tyler Youman #427 finished second in Class 4 despite rolling his Trophy Truck on Sunday, as fellow competitors Stephen Blake #6639, Jayme Challacombe #838, and Matt Dicks #828 all collected their own silverware.

The Mount Larcom Class 10 podium was rounded out by Darren Orr #1015, and Brett Baker #1026, with Future Champions victor Cameron Krog #6623 outlasting fellow young gun Jack Musico #6688 by a mere 13 seconds.
The 2025 Farm and Garden Products Mount Larcom Short Course was made possible through the generous support of Farm and Garden Products as the naming rights sponsor, and their valued event partners Upton Engineering, Multitrade Building Hire, and McCosker Contracting.

The Queensland Off Road Championship would like to thank their naming right sponsors ARB and Mickey Thompson Tyres for the final time in 2025, along with Link ECU, Comiskey Mining Services, JSW Powersports, Best WesternPlus Hotel North Lakes, Farm and Garden Polaris and Premium Soil Conditioners & Fertilisers for their continued support.
The ARB Mickey Thompson Queensland Off Road Racing Championship will now turn its attention to Round 1 of the 2026 season, the Gundy 250, scheduled for the 28th of February and 1st of March.
