Martin Motorsport’s Dale Martin #5 has taken outright honours on a slippery opening day of the 2024 Teagle Excavations ARB Pines Enduro 400.
After prologuing in 12th position, Martin in his Ultimate Jimco finished today’s four 6km short course laps 3.4 seconds ahead of Stuart Chapman #17, who impressed many in his Mitsubishi powered single seat Chenowth.
Current ARB Australian Championship leader Clayton Chapman #15 stormed into third outright in his Toyota powered Razorback, finishing just 1.7 seconds behind his younger brother.
Two-time defending Pines champion Danny Brown #4 is well placed in fourth, likewise prologue victor Matt Hanson #7 who rounded out the Pines top five Saturday.
In the class battles, Boston Morgan Horan #489, Andy Brown #1145, Simon Tucker #110, Steven Graham #1065, Jackson Evans #635, Ashley Cameron #570, Brendan Forssman #202, Heath Weedon #701, and Ross Newman #6681 all lead their respective fields.
53 crews completed today’s four laps of the Teagles Quarry, with competitors set to return to the track in a reverse grid at 8.30am for six 66km laps, where come mid-afternoon a 2024 Teagle Excavations ARB Pines Enduro 400 champion will be crowned.
