The next generation of young drivers is gearing up for the 2026 Australian Off Road Racing Season. Some are focused on car development, others are chasing the thrill and some have their dreams set on a championship.

Thomas Forssman (#1005, Southern Cross Mk 5), from the proud family team of Forssman Motorsport sees his new car out of the shed and onto the racetracks!
“We started our journey with this Southern Cross frame in October of 2023. Since then it’s been a process to get it to where it is now. We took it to Sam Barnes and Aaron Heemskerk in 2024, who did the suspension and steering setup.”

After 6 months, “we took it over to Dean Williams Engineering to get it to a turn key car – endless amounts of advice, tips, tricks and engineering magic happened in that shed over 7 months of weekend work! The car is now home, stripped and ready for the paint & the wrap – thanks to Cracken Creative for the help designing and executing the wrap – stay tuned for the reveal!”
“We are aiming to get to Darren’s Day Out at Sea Lake in April, then hoping to get to a few ARB AORRC National events along with some Southern States Series races!”
“We can’t wait to get out on the track, all we are looking for this year is some k’s under our belt and a few finishes as we test out the new wheels!“

“All this isn’t possible without our supporters, big thanks to Racer Imports, Dean Williams Engineering & Proactive Supports 4 U”

Kodi Visser (#1056, Single seat Alumicraft), one of the cars from the Comfab Racing Team with father Rod Visser (#1057, twin-seat Alumicraft) will have two Class 10 Buggies racing in 2026.
Kodi will be racing the single seater Alumicraft Class 10 at a couple local short course races like Moyston, Avalon and Rainbow. For national level competition Kodi, brother Jye and father Rod will be taking turns in the twin seater Alumicraft Class 10, going for glory in all rounds of the ARB Australian Off Road Racing Championship.

“In the off season we have done a tear down of the twin seater with a gearbox rebuild by Ron at Racetrans, the new engine by NDV Motorsports, new wiring harness from Proloom Motorsports and rebuilt shocks from Dean Williams Engineering. A couple little changes to the single seater and it is all prepped for 2026!”
“A highlight from 2025 was definitely the last round for the ARB Championship at the Pines Enduro. Unfortunately, there were some wiring issues during the short course on Saturday, luckily it all got fixed for Sundays race. On Sunday, Kodi drove the twin seater with Jye Navigating, the boys had a great run on Sunday and finished the long course with no issues!”

Taylah Apostoles from Perth, Western Australia is only 18 years of age and is known for her iconic Pink Can-Am Maverick X3 (#607).
In 2025, “We were super excited to come home with a 4th in class in the ARB Australian Off Road Racing Championship. For 2026 I am hoping to have a clean year and complete each race with the car in good shape. We are also just focusing on getting the car dialled in for 2027. A big goal is to podium in a race this year!”

“To prepare the car for this season I have stripped all four corners down, taken off the A-arms, hubs, suspension and more, these were all routine checks that not only happen in the off season but also during each race event. We have also been working on the cars performance and making sure the car will perform at its best for the 2026 season.”

“I would like to give a massive thank you to WA Seadoo, Method race wheels, Westcon Contracting and my mum and sister for being the biggest supporters.”
