Currently, the regulations stipulate that Personal Recreational Vehicles (CLASS 6 Buggies) are permitted to have a track width of no more than 2000mm measured from outside to outside of tyres unless the manufacturer’s wheel track is wider in standard or factory option configuration.
The rule change applications proposed the following change:
Personal Recreational Vehicles (CLASS 6 Buggies) are permitted to have a track width of no more than 2100mm measured from outside to outside of tyres unless the manufacturer’s wheel track is wider in standard or factory option configuration.
We recently sent the rule change out to vote.
Voting Results:
Yes: 76.19%
No: 23.81%
Outcome
With these results, the proposed changes to Class 6 have been approved.
Effective from 2025 Class 6 can now have a track width of no more than 2100mm measured from outside to outside of tyres unless the manufacturer’s wheel track is wider in standard or factory option configuration.
