QLD Set for Dam Buster 250

Queenslanders will return to the track this weekend with the annual KJN Electrical Dam Buster 250 taking centre stage at St. George. A strong forty plus field will meet the starter on Saturday for Round 4 of the 2024 ARB Mickey Thompson Queensland Off Road Championship.

Hosted by SEQORRA, this year’s Dam Buster 250 will feature the top five finishers from the previous round at Burdekin, headlined by Racer Engineering chargers Talbot Cox #16 and Michael Marson #32. Drew Callander #99 fresh off a career high finish in his V8 Razorback, Class 4 flyer Tyler Youman #427 and the ever entertaining David Loughnan #104 will again be amongst the outright chances.

Without last years champion Michael Napier #11 in the the field, there are many others in silverware contention including Steven Kildey #412 in his home built Killa Trophy Truck, Troy Duff #24 who will debut his brand new AlumiCraft, young guns Trent Callander #127, and Brayden Mifsud #1026, Stewart Chapman #815 in the teams Triton, Kevy Nott #78 fresh off a 5th outright at Parilla and Razorback stalwart Russell Hartnett #1012.

In the class battles, Matthew Lawless #71, Chris Land #80, Alex Mendham #170, Mark Robertson #481, Kate Swinglehurst #631, Paul Herviou #680, Warren Stevens #762, Ross Challacombe #838, Steven Orr #1051, Jan Kraaj #1140 and Ross Newman #6681 are amongst the notable Dam Buster 250 crews poised for action. 

The Queensland Off Road Racing Championship would again like to thank their major sponsors ARB and Mickey Thompson Tyres for continuing their partnership into 2024, whilst expressing full gratitude towards the other championship sponsors, including Dynamic Wheel Co, Lucas Papaw Remedies, Premium Soil Conditioners and Fertilisers, Comiskey Mining Services, North Lakes Best Western plus Polaris Farm & Garden Produce. 

With another quality field lining up to hit the dams of St.George, there will be plenty of challengers looking to become the next Dam Buster champion. 

With full camping and catering available, and racing scheduled to commence from 9am Saturday and 7am Sunday morning; it is set to be another great weekends racing in Queensland.
