Racing will finally return to Dalby this weekend for Round 5 of the 2024 ARB Mickey Thompson Queensland Off Road Championship. After wet weather forced the events cancellation in April, an eager 54 crews are poised for the rescheduled Dalby PDS Short Course presented by Philip Diverse Services and Speciality Services QLD.
Hosted by the Gympie Auto Sports Club on the property ‘Weranga’, this years event will showcase competitors from all 13 classes; headlined by defending champion Richard Tassin #691 who will make his first appearance of 2024 in his Class 6 Can Am X3.
2022 Dalby winner Stuart Chapman #815 will campaign the teams Class 8 Triton, and once again be a genuine threat, likewise last years podium sitter Christian Trusz #816, Steven Kildey #412, Steven Orr #1051, and Class 1 charger David Loughnan #104 who currently sits third in the QLD championship.
Others to watch in the battle for outright honours include Class 11 stalwart Jan Kraaj #1140 who finished fourth outright at the recent Dam Buster 250, Brett Baker #124, Russell Hartnett #1012 in just his second Class 10 appearance, and Class 6 front runners Kane Prechelt #694 and Lochlan Waters #699 who was super impressive whilst taking class honours on debut at St George.
In the class battles, Clayton Bestman #96, Darren Angel #160, Pat Philip #182, Mark Andrew #295, Tyler and Paul Youman #427, Tony Butler #520, Luke Brandon #690s, Darren Barker #611, Jackson Nott #6168, Shaun Bartlem #6616, Jack Huxstep #711, Steven Ash #862, Jason Keane #1013, Michael Phillips #1024, plus Future Champions Toby Musico #6688, Lincoln Wilcox #717, Cameron Krog #6623 and Dexter Warren #6645 are amongst the notable crews set for action.
