This weekend’s racing will return to Queensland at the 2023 Speciality Services QLD Dalby Short Course hosted by the Gympie Auto Sports Club. After the unfortunate postponement of the Weranga based event earlier in the year due to wet weather, the 2023 ARB Mickey Thompson Tyres QLD Off Road Championship has now turned its attention to Round 5, proudly presented by All Aspects Earthworks.

Without current championship front runners Zac Marsh, and Tony Patterson in the Dalby field, other names who will by vying for outright honours include Luke Brandon #690s who is off a career high 3rd outright at Moranbah, Aaron Phillis #44 who recorded back to back top 10 finishes to start his season, Tyson Howard #6168, David Loughnan #104 and Nissan Patrol campaigner Christian Trusz #816 who dominated the Class 8 contingent at Federal in April.
Close battles are again expected at Dalby across all classes, with Pat Philp #182, Joe Bulmer #1136, along with championship leaders Colin Gaven #295, Tyler Youman #527, Stuart Zlotkowski #811, Rob Stieber #1082 and Toby Musico #6688 amongst the notable names set for action.
Darren Brandon #689s, Kane Prechelt #694s, Anna Phillis #624, Kate Swinglehurst #631, Ross Newman #6631, Amber Topfer #722, Rob Chapman #871, Declan Cummins #1003, Jason Keane #1013, and Darren Orr #1015, others primed for a Dalby assault.
The Queensland Off Road Racing Championship would again like to thank their major naming right sponsors ARB and Mickey Thompson Tyres for continuing their strong partnership in 2023, whilst expressing full gratitude towards the other championship sponsors, including Dynamic Wheel Co, Lucas Papaw Remedies, Premium Soil Conditioners and Fertilisers, Comiskey Mining Services, North Lakes Best Western, plus Polaris Farm & Garden Produce.
With another quality field ready for battle at Weranga, it is anyone’s guess as to who will become the next Speciality Services QLD Dalby Short Course champion. With full camping facilities and catering available both days, plus free spectating all weekend, we will see you at the track. Queensland racing is alive and well!
