Jason and Kristy Richards #91 have stamped their authority on the 2026 Teagle Excavations ARB Pines Enduro, topping today’s 24km short course racing in their V8 Racer.

Richards crossed the line nine seconds ahead of prologue winners Dale Martin and Mark Degruchy #5 to lead into Sunday’s long course section.

Current ARB Australian champions Aaron and Chelsea Haby #1 finished in third, 19 seconds behind Richards, with Danny Brown #4 and Mark Burrows #21 rounding out the top five.

In the class battles, Brett Comiskey #434, Sean Ratcliffe #1007, Simon Tucker #2, Lachlan Campbell #3, Sandy Bowman #819, and David Richardson #310 lead their respective fields.

Forty-four crews completed today’s short course section, with championship leader Clayton Chapman #15 suffering power steering issues that dropped him to 33rd, in Section 1.   

Competitors return to the track in a reverse grid from 8.30am local time tomorrow for Section 2, where come mid-afternoon the 2026 Teagle Excavations ARB Pines Enduro champion will be crowned. Start Order is released for Section 2 on the Sportity App using event passcode: ARBChamp
